The first annual Symposium on Science and Literature promises to be as interactive as it is informative. Participants will be offered hands-on engagement with exhibits featuring everything from robots to DNA swabs to the Virtual Brain. The panels will take the form of "Short Take" sessions, in which demonstrators, guest lecturers and members of both the science and literature departments present ten-minute talks. Panel sessions will be interdisciplinary and will allow participants to field questions from each other as well as from the audience. The short-take design promises to be less formal, more interactive, and more fun than your average scholarly panel. Like all symposium events, these sessions will be open to the public as well as to the academic community.
